Bella Poarch's biological Filipino parents gave birth to her in the Philippines on the 9th of February 1997. Her grandmother grew up in areas of slums for three years until she turned 3 years old. She was then adopted. Her adoptive parents are both Filipinas, and her white American adoptive dad has had military experience. She says that her as well as her brother, adopted as a baby, were abused until they were drafted. For the purpose of moving to Texas after she reached 13her family stayed for many months staying in San Francisco to stay with her Aunt. While the physical violence has subsided however, she claimed to have endured mental abuse from her father at her home. When she turned 18, she enlisted in an organization called the United States Navy. Poarch launched her TikTok page in April, 2020. In just 8 months, she had amassed more than 40 million users. Poarch posted a range of videos and the one that was most popular was her rendition of Millie B's viral hit Soph Aspin Send. This became one of TikTok's most viewed videos. The video was zoomed-in to show her dancing rhythmically, while lip-syncing to the song became a viral hit. After she joined TikTok and began to gain fame, Poarch started up a YouTube channel and Twitter account. Poarch's rising fame peaked in the December month, 2020. It was reported that she drew the attention of two big professional Esports organizations. FaZe Clan and 100 Thieves expressed an interest in her appointment as a creator of content under the respective brand names.
