Robyn Rihanna - also known as Rihanna - is a Barbadian pop songwriter and singer. She's had hit songs such as Pon de Replay, SOS umbrella, Take a Bow. Young and extremely accomplished singer and songwriter, she's already one of the top selling artists. Born in Barbados she grew up listening to reggae and started singing when she was quite young. Unhappy with the chaos in her family and endless arguments with her parents she immersed herself in music and eventually realized that she wanted to be a professional singer. They formed a group while still in high school and was able to have perform with producer Evan Rodgers who was highly impressed by the teenager's talents. In order to earn an income in the field of professional singing, Rodgers asked her to relocate into New York. Rihanna became a huge hit as her debut album landed on the market. The singer was popular among the youth for her peppy, foot-tapping music. It led to her taking up directing. She is a young, accomplished woman, who is now an icon of fashion and teen icon. Rihanna makes good use of her popularity and is a supporter of many charities.
