Taylor-Joy, then sixteen years old, quit the school to pursue a career in acting. Anya Taylor Joy (born April 16th, 1996) was born in Miami Florida. The daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor, a former banking executive along with Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist is half English as well as Spanish. Her father, an Argentinean of Scottish and English roots is her maternal grandmother. The mother of her is Spanish-English. Taylor-Joy is one of the five children. Four were born to Taylor's father's previous marriage. The family relocated to Buenos Aires to Victoria, London when Taylor-Joy turned six. Taylor Joy says that moving was extremely stressful. She refused to learn English and believed she would be able to move back to Argentina. Hill House, a school in the same district that Northlands was required to accept her. She enrolled later at Queen's Gate School in which she took ballet classes and was involved in school productions. After she turned 16, she quit school in order to pursue a full-time career in acting. Taylor-Joy was a child actress who knew she would become one. The realization of her dreams came when Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a job as a model.
